Welcome

I began as an oratorical speaker, reciting poetry and competing in spoken-word competitions. I started playing piano at the age of six, though music felt present in my life long before that.

My journey has been shaped by learning, growth, and the people I’ve met along the way. My first piano instructor was Jimmy Kay Kendrick, a blind musician and my neighbor. 

Studying with him gave me permission to learn with patience, gentleness, and trust — lessons that continue to influence how I create today.

My story carries both beauty and pain, and I allow space for all of it. That balance is what lives in my music.

I spent years refining my craft and developing my sound before fully giving myself permission to create, sing, and perform my own music. While many first came to know me as 35Keys through the piano, my voice has always been an essential part of my expression.

Music is both my foundation and my teacher. I continue to learn from it, grow through it, and allow it to guide my evolution as an artist.

Now, the musician, singer, songwriter, and storyteller I’ve been becoming is here — grounded, intentional, and here to stay.
